Fort Bend ISD

Misha Kavalur is currently a senior at Ridge Point High School. She completed her mentorship at the Neurological Research institute at the Boeynaems, Anderson, and Shulman Labs. In these labs she was mentored in wet lab and dry lab skills, analyzing factors contributing to neurological disorders through cells, mice, and fly models. Outside of mentorship, she advocates for women and youth in her community as Co-Vice President of Girl Up Houston, and continues cultivating her passion for STEM as a Science Olympiad officer, and as a teaching assistant at HMNS. In the fall, Misha will be attended Texas A&M University, majoring in Public Health. Her favorite memory from mentorship was the day she spent making connections with her cohort at ROPES, and presenting at a lab meeting for the first time.
