About Us
-
Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students the hands-on experience needed to be successful after high school. Students starting in middle school have the opportunity to explore a variety of careers from engineering and culinary arts to health science and law enforcement. Alongside the students' coursework, they are exposed to real-world experiences such as guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, and more.
There are 14 CTE programs of study in FBISD that meet high school graduation endorsement requirements. Each of these programs of study has a career pathway that provides coherent, articulated sequences of rigorous CTE courses. End of program industry-recognized certificates and/or licenses are available for most programs of study.
