A number of specialized high school programs exist at the secondary level to provide focused study and services, launching our students toward careers and college pathways in a number of highly skilled and competitive areas. High school Academies, ECHS and P-TECH programs are also offered for select students. All of these programs are offered through an application process, which includes a combination of academic performance data, test scores, and interviews for the academies and a blind lottery for ECHS and P-TECH. Use the navigation on the left to read more about the individual programs.Enrichment
Fort Bend ISD students can participate in a number of academic competitions that provide further opportunities to help students be successful with future endeavors and become highly competitive at the collegiate level. All students are encouraged to become involved in academic enrichment outside of the regular classroom. FBISD has a variety of academic contests, clubs, and competitions available at all levels for students. Advanced out-of-school options and competitions serve to extend the curriculum and strengthen student abilities in problem solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. A few examples of these activities include: Academic Decathlon, Academic UIL, Destination Imagination, History Fair, and Science Fair.Announcement
