The Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment
Instructional ParaProfessional positions at Fort Bend ISD require the completion of 48 college credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university, or a passing score of 460 on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment. The ParaPro Assessment quantifies candidates' reading, writing, and math knowledge.
ETS, the vendor for the ParaProfessional Assessment, has announced that they are discontinuing the current testing format used by Fort Bend ISD and all school districts nationwide. Given this change, our district is no longer offering this assessment.
There are 2 ways to take your ParaPro exam, either in a test center or remotely at home using Prometric’s ProProctor™ application. To take the ParaPro test at home, you must have a computer with a camera, an internet connection and the ability to install a lightweight app (prior to the test event). You will be able to take the test online while a Prometric proctor is overseeing the examination process remotely. For more information, or to schedule your exam, please visit the links below.
**PLEASE NOTE that there is a fee charged for both testing options. The current cost is on the Prometric website.
