• The Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment

Instructional ParaProfessional positions at Fort Bend ISD require either an Associates’ degree or the completion of 48 college credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university. If an individual does not possess any of those requirements, taking and passing the ParaPro Assessment is a viable alternative, however, it does not guarantee you a position. The ParaPro Assessment quantifies candidates’ reading, writing, and math knowledge.

    ANNOUNCEMENT, June 14, 2022

ETS, the vendor for the ParaProfessional Assessment, has announced that they are discontinuing the current testing format used by Fort Bend ISD and all school districts nationwide. As this is effective immediately, all sessions at Fort Bend ISD have been cancelled.

Beginning July 30th, the ParaProfessional Assessment will be offered at Prometric Test Centers, an organization which operates the world’s largest network of computer-based assessment centers.  During the transition period from now through the end of July, you can take the test remotely on your own computer, at home or at another secure location.   You can check the equipment requirements, as well as register for this option, at either of the following links.  (Please note that as of today’s announcement date, ETS has not fully updated their website with regards to school district test centers, etc.)

We have been assured by ETS that they will provide additional details in July, along with a viable link to the local Prometric Test Center.  We will post updates on this ParaPro webpage as they are released.

Whether you test at home or choose to wait for Prometric scheduling to become available, please continue to use the Free Test Preparation documents provided by ETS.
