The Fort Bend ISD ROPES/CHALLENGE COURSE Program is built on the principles of adventure based education designed for established student groups with a sponsor and a common goal. It is also beneficial for Administrative, Faculty and Staff groups.
ROPES promotes self-discovery, self-confidence, and self-esteem through the use of games, initiatives, and challenges. It is designed to challenge the individual and group emotionally, socially, and physically; however, ROPES does not require great athletic ability or strength, just commitment to the group.
The Fort Bend ISD ROPES/CHALLENGE COURSE Program has three full ropes courses, with three full-time Ropes Course Facilitators. Each facilitator has been certified as a LEVEL I or a LEVEL II Practitioner trained by an approved Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) Vendor Member.
