Makhi Moore is a graduating senior from Travis High School. As a part of his extracurricular involvement, Makhi participated in Model United Nations (MUN), assisting his peers in becoming the best delegates possible as the Travis MUN's President. He has also led the contacting of professionals and advocates to speak at both the annual Global Issues Summit and the TEDxTravisHighSchool event he co-organized. Through the GT Mentorship Program, Makhi was fortunate enough to be able to work with Audio Engineer Chase West and Pre-K Teacher Blanca Tovar. This opportunity has provided him valuable insight into how one maintains balance in a mix using tools like equalization and compression in Audio Engineering. Additionally, he has learned the value of using an individualized approach to language education and putting the students first. In the fall, Makhi will be attending UT Austin to study Linguistics.
