Fort Bend ISD

Anya Patwa is a graduating senior from Elkins High School. As a part of her extracurricular involvement, Anya served as President of the Elkins Student Council, Secretary of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society), and volunteered at the Eastern Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry where she helped address the basic needs of families facing food insecurity and/or temporary financial crisis in the Fort Bend area. Through the mentorship program, Anya was fortunate enough to work with Vishwa Kalyanasundaram (Engineering Manager), Katherine Si (Product Engineering Manager), Emil Tezzo (Director), and Chunming Wu (Engineering Supervisor) at Emerson Automation Solutions. Her time there provided valuable insight into engineering design and the processes behind pressure relief valves. In the Fall, Anya will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Electrical and Computer Engineering.
