Fort Bend ISD

Veda Chinapuvvula is a graduating senior from Hightower High School. As part of her extracurricular involvement, Veda participated as Area 2 reporter and Vice President of her school's HOSA chapter, and as an officer in the Medical Science Academy participated in planning for the Around the World of Medicine Showcase. Through the mentorship program, Veda was fortunate enough to be able to work with Dr. Lisa Wang at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. Her time there provided invaluable insight into Rothmund-Thomson Syndrome and allowed her to conduct research studies on the prevalence of skin cancer and hearing loss. In the Fall, Veda will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Computer Science.
