• Laiba Effendi, Kempner High School

  • Laiba Effendi is currently a senior at Kempner High School. Outside of mentorship, she advocates for digital access and comprehensive health education at both national and local levels as an EducateUS Youth Advisory intern, a Student Voices lead district ambassador, and a PyGirls board member. Laiba will be attending Yale University as a data science major. Her favorite mentorship memory was dressing up in the fun finds at a local thrift store. In mentorship, Laiba learned that one gains more from making mistakes and learning from them each time than from getting everything perfect on the first try.
