GT Family Series Overview
The GT department has launched the GT Family Challenge Series for the 2021-22 school year. Families of gifted students have the opportunity to participate in virtual-themed challenges that will spark creativity and build critical thinking skills!

Spring Break Challenge Overview
The GT department invites families of gifted students to participate in the GT Family Challenge Series. The challenge theme for the month of March is "Imagine, Innovate and Invent". This challenge allows gifted students the opportunity to use their imagination to create a hands-on product based on an area of interest. Gifted students (grades K-12) will select from a list of activities and build/create a product. Below you will find an activity card with detailed guidelines listed under "Resources." Students are asked to submit a video of their final product to gtfbisd@fortbendisd.com no later than Monday, March 21, 2022.
Getting Started
- Registration for this challenge opens Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and closes Thursday, March 10, 2022.
- Select an activity of interest to complete.
- Identify recycled/household products to use to construct your product for this challenge (if needed).
- Create a "draft or script" of your product.
- Construct or produce a product.
- Email a short video of your final product to gtfbisd@fortbendisd.com on or before Monday, March 21, 2022.
- Students' presentations will be shared via YouTube beginning Monday, March 28, 2022.
