Instructional Resource Adoption Overview

  • Fort Bend ISD adopts resources per a cycle established by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).  This process, known as proclamations, are issued through the State Board of Education (SBOE) and list the subject areas that are scheduled for review of new instructional material.  Information about the states review and adoption process as well as current and upcoming proclamations may be found on TEA's Review and Adoption Process webpage.

Resource Adoption: K-12 Science; Personal Financial Literacy & Economics (PFLE); and CTE

  • Fort Bend ISD provides an opportunity for community members and parents to review various instructional materials that have been considered for adoption based on the state cycle for instructional materials.

During the 2023-2024 school year, the District reviews instructional materials for implementation at campuses in the 2024-2025 school year. Proclamation 2024 calls for science, grades K-12; Personal Financial Literacy and Economics; and several Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses. Fort Bend ISD is providing an opportunity to review and provide feedback on the instructional materials for adoption.
