ATTENTION
We want to ensure everyone is aware of the following information:
Ice cream products sold in FBISD cafeterias may have been processed by the manufacturer in a facility that also processes tree nuts or peanuts.
Food companies are not required by law to place these statements on labels but can choose to do so. Because this type of labeling may not indicate the actual presence of an allergen, cafeteria staff will not prevent students from purchasing these foods. The Child Nutrition Department itself does not process or handle any type of nuts. Please talk to your student with allergies about food choices that are best for their health.
If you have any questions, please refer to the Child Nutrition Department website, link to www.fortbendisd.com and contact us if needed.
