Each year the District hosts Parent Learning Opportunities that cover a wide selection of topics to increase knowledge and understanding of special education. These sessions are open to all families, as well as friends from outside the District.

We’re excited to partner with you in supporting your child’s growth! Join us for an engaging and practical district-wide Early Childhood Special Education Parent Training designed to empower families with tools to help preschool-aged children with disabilities thrive. Together, we’ll explore how to understand behavior through a developmental lens and use positive strategies to encourage communication, independence, and emotional regulation.During this virtual session, we’ll share simple and effective prompting strategies that support your child’s daily routines—both at home and in the classroom. Our goal is to partner with families to help children develop confidence and independence across environments.What You’ll Gain:- Understand the reasons behind your child’s behaviors and learn effective ways to respond
- Discover practical techniques to reduce challenging behaviors before they start
- Learn how to build consistent, supportive routines at home and in school
