Summer Program 2023 Information
This summer, Extended Learning will offer two different summer programs - Camp BLAST and the Academy of Inspiring Minds.
Registration will open on March 20, 2023.

Camp BLAST
Camp BLAST
Camp BLAST is the traditional Extended Day Summer Camp and will be held at two elementary campuses and one middle school campus. This program consists of 8 sessions from Wednesday, May 31 through Friday, July 21. Session 1 will only be 3 days, Wed., May 31 – Fri., June 2. The program is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Program Information
This year, Camp BLAST will be held at 3 locations. The program is for FBISD and non-district students. Enrollment is open to any campus, regardless of home school. The grade level is based on what grade students completed in 2022-2023. Camp is for students entering PreK through exiting 5th grade.
The summer camp locations are:
- Fort Settlement MS – for students exiting Kindergarten to exiting 5th grade
- 5440 Elkins Road, Sugar Land, TX 77479
- Malala ES – for students entering PreK to exiting 5th grade
- 11770 W. Aliana Trace, Richmond TX 77407
- Sullivan ES – for students entering PreK to exiting 5th grade

Location Details
- The grade level is based on what grade students completed in 2022-2023.
- Enrollment is open to any campus, regardless of home school.
- PreK students must turn 4 years old by September 1 and have a basic level of self-care.
- Open to students that do not attend a FBISD school. A copy of the student's current immunization record will need to be submitted to the campus Site Coordinator before the start of summer. This includes Pre-K students.
- If your desired campus has reached capacity, you will be placed on a waiting list for that campus.
- Each week will consist of a field trip or onsite event, daily lunch, sports, games, hands-on activities, and so much more!
- Calendars will be available at the beginning of April.
Registration Information
- Registration will open through EZChildTrack on March 20, 2023 at 9:00am.
- Priority registration for current EZChildTrack account holders will be available for one week before general registration opens on March 27, 2023.
- Registration will remain open for the duration of the summer.
- Tuition is $165 a week and includes all activities and lunch each day.
- There is an FBISD employee discounted rate of $150 a week.
- Session 1 tuition will be $100 for Wed – Fri; employee rate will be $85.
- Employees will need to register at the $165 rate and then upon verification of district employment, their account will be credited with the $15 difference. If the employee wants a refund of the difference, they will have to contact Extended Day Billing to make the request.
- For students that finish the school year receiving financial assistance, parents will need to send an email to Billing to have their account adjusted.
- Registration for each week will closed on Friday at 12:00pm before the start of the session unless the session reaches max capacity before that time.
- Please note the following exception - registration for Session 1 will close on Wednesday, May 24 at 12pm - unless the session reaches max capacity before that time.
- There is a $50 registration fee paid once per child for the entire summer, regardless of the number of sessions attending.
- The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable for any reason and is due at the time of registration.
- Payment is required at the time of registration. Parents should only register for the sessions they are prepared to pay for immediately. All tuition and fees must be paid before enrollment is complete.
- Register early! Space is limited and we do anticipate that sessions will fill up quickly!
- Any students that register after that capacity has been reached will be placed on a wait list and will be able to select an alternate location.
- One registration must be on file for each student that is attending the summer program. Registration cards are used for informational purposes only.
- In addition to completing all required registration fields, parent must also select the campus and sessions that your child will be attending.
- Payments can be made online using a credit or debit card.
- After the application is submitted, notification about acceptance into the program will be sent to the email address on file. Each application is reviewed and approved and this process can take up to two weeks. If this is the first time setting up an account in EZChildTrack, a temporary password will also be included in this email.
- Automatic payments do not apply to summer payments or registration.
- Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to Extended Learning at extendeddaybilling@fortbendisd.com. Requests must be submitted 5 business days prior to the start of the session.
- Requests to transfer enrollment to a different session or campus location must be submitted in writing to Extended Learning at extendeddaybilling@fortbendisd.com. Requests must be submitted 5 business days prior to the start of the session.

Academy of Inspiring Minds
Academy of Inspiring Minds (AIM)
The Academy of Inspiring Minds (AIM) is a new program that will offer specialized half-day classes this summer. AIM will operate at Fort Settlement Middle School from June 5 to July 21, and will be open Monday through Thursday only, from 9:00am to 4:00pm. This program will be offered in addition to Camp Blast.
Program Information
These classes will be available for students finishing Kindergarten through 5th grade and focus on areas such as STEM, culinary, art, music, sports, swim lessons, and much more. Prices will vary based on each content area. A catalog of offerings for the Academy of Inspiring Minds will be available on or before registration opens on March 20.
There will be various weeklong classes that will run Monday through Thursday of each week. The morning class will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm, and the afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Students are able to sign up for both timeframes each week and will remain on campus for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Lunch and snack will not be provided, so students will need to bring lunch, snacks and drinks each day. In addition, before and after care will be available from 7:30am to 9:00am, and from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
