Who can enroll in Success Zone classes?
Success Zone is open to all students in the community (district and non-district). Your child is not required to be enrolled in Extended Learning to register for Success Zone.
Does the course fee cover the semester or is it monthly? How long are the classes?
The course fee listed covers all the sessions. Success Zone classes meet once a week on the designated class day.
What is the dismissal procedure if my child is enrolled in Success Zone?
All of the classes are on campus. After school, Success Zone students are dismissed to Extended Learning. Please notify your child’s teacher that he/she is enrolled in Success Zone. Once our staff takes attendance, students will have time to eat their snack and get ready for class to start. If your child is a non-Extended Day student, then he/she will need to be picked up once class is over. If your child is enrolled in Extended Learning, the he/she will return to their group.
What will the in-person Success Zone classes look like?
One of the priorities of the Community Education Program is the health and safety of our students and instructors. In accordance to the Centers for Disease Control and District guidelines, the following are protocols for our in-person classes: students and instructors are required to wear afacial covering, complete a daily check, temperatures of instructors will be taken prior to him/her entering the building, and social distancing will be enforced. Materials and supplies will not be shared among students during class.
What will the online Success Zone classes look like?
Participants will need to have access to the internet and a device that has a camera and microphone. Students will be able to participate with a live instructor once a
week during all ten sessions. A classroom invitation and link will be emailed to the account holder prior to the start of the session. Classes that have supplies will be mailed to the participants’ home.
When is the deadline to register for classes?
Registration for our youth classes closes on February 7, 2021
How do I know if my registration is confirmed or if the class is cancelled?
Once you register for the class, you will receive a receipt and an automated email from EZComEd. For class cancellations, please refer to our cancellation policy.
What do I do if I need to cancel my child’s enrollment?
Please send a request to communityed@ fortbendisd.com.
What happens if my child is on the waiting list? Will I be notified on the status of my child’s enrollment?
We monitor enrollment on a daily basis. If a spot becomes available in a class, we will contact families on the waiting list according to the order in which registration was submitted. You are also welcome to call our office at 281-634-4220 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to ask about the status of your child’s enrollment.
What is the process for requesting the program to be offered at my child’s campus?
