    Each year the Application for the Gifted & Talented Academy at Quail Valley Middle School is open from the 1st of February through the last day of February (the 28th or 29th).

    FBISD 5th grade GT students must complete the application using their FBISD Skyward ID and their network password. 

    Out-Of-District 5th grade students must create an account.

    Annual GT Academy Recruitment, Application, and Selection Timeline:

    Parents of 5th graders who are not enrolled in FBISD, should visit the Private/Home/Charter School Section or the Out-Of-District Public School GT Transfer Section.

    Recruitment events are open to ALL!

    February 13, 2025 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM: GT Academy 5th Grade Night

    Open to all CURRENT eligible Fort Bend ISD GT 5th Grade students and 1-2 family members.

    February 3, 2025 – February 27, 2025  - GTA Campus Tours

     

    • Tours are during the day to see Quail Valley Middle School in person
    • GTA Student Leaders are tour guides
    • Parent must register in advance and drive student to tour appointment
    • NO transportation provided
    • Parent is welcome to join tour

     

    Sign-Up for Tours: Tours of the GTA are for the student plus 1-2 adults. Available Mondays and Thursdays from Monday 2/3 through Thursday 2/27.

    February 1, 2025 - February 28, 2025  - Online applications window open https://academy.fortbendisd.com/

     

    March 19, 2025 - Acceptance or Waitlist Notification emailed to applicants.

     

    March 31, 2025 - Deadline to commit to GTA. Waitlist opened.

     

    April 7, 2025 - Deadline for Waitlist applicants to commit.

     

    April 11, 2025 - Final incoming 6th grader roster completed.

     

    May 2025 (Date TBD) – In-person GT Academy Incoming Student Meet-Up
