The GT Academy application process is for students identified for GT services through the Fort Bend ISD identification process. This includes out-of-district students.

Lottery Admission  

If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the incoming 6^th grade class (180 students), a two-tiered lottery system will commence.

• Tier 1: Eligible GT applicants whose SAS (Standard Age Score) on CogAT is 130+ on at least one subtest (verbal, quantitative, or non-verbal) are entered into the first random lottery. 

• Tier 2: If there are remaining seats after the first lottery, the second lottery will commence for all other eligible GT applicants. 

The lottery system is computer randomized and does not favor students by any other factor than their CogAT score.
