One-Time Option Transfer

Fort Bend ISD offers one-time option transfers (OTOs) to students who move, within FBISD attendance boundaries, after the start of school. OTOs are only available to students in grades 5, 8, or 10-12 who meet transfer eligibility criteria. Siblings who are not in 5th, 8th, or 10th -12th grades or students impacted by boundary changes are ineligible for a one-time option transfer. One-time option transfers are reviewed by the campus principal and may be denied for poor attendance and discipline.

If approved, a one-time option transfer may allow a student to remain at their current campus until the end of the current school year or graduation, depending on their grade level. Please review the one-time option transfer information found in the FBISD Student Transfer Guidelines prior to submitting a transfer request. Student athletes who are requesting a transfer should consult with the Fort Bend ISD Athletics department to determine player eligibility.
