Public Education Grant (PEG) Transfers
Updated August 27, 2025
In 1995, the Texas Legislature created the Public Education Grant (PEG) program. The PEG program permits a parent whose child attends a campus on the PEG List to request a transfer to another campus within their home district or to a campus in a different district. A list of PEG-designated campuses is provided to districts annually. The Texas Education Agency published the PEG Program list for the 2025-26 school year, on August 19, 2025. The state’s 2025-26 PEG list includes campuses that received an overall scaled score below 60 in 2023.
For the 2025-26 school year, the following campuses have been identified as PEG campuses:
- Lantern Lane ES
- Rosa Parks ES
- Walter Burton ES
- Christa McAuliffe MS
- Lake Olympia MS
- Thurgood Marshall HS
Students who attend these campuses may request a transfer from the selected campus below or may choose to remain at the zoned campus. PEG transfer students are held to the same attendance and behavior expectations as all transfer students and may have their transfer revoked for not meeting attendance and behavior expectations.
