ERATE Services

Overview: Identification, planning and processing of ERATE filings for Federal Communications Commission reimbursement of eligible services to school districts.  This requires significant lead time and planning as there are (3) fiscal years of activities in process at any given time and strict timelines that must be followed.

Who is eligible to use the service: Any IT leader that is responsible for supporting student connectivity including eligible expenses such as network gear, internet connections, and WiFi equipment. (usually Executive Director Information Technology Services and Manager Network Services)

Related services: Other identified federal or state programs for which FBISD needs to identify, plan and file for reimbursement of IT equipment such as laptops, hotspots, ipads, connectivity, etc.
