Users should select the FBISD_BYOD network in the choice of wireless networks on their device. Most devices will start a browser session to help initiate the login. If not, the user will need to start a browser session and navigate to a familiar web page. Note that all traffic is firewalled and filtered in accordance with District procedures.
Current Students have a FBISD username and password and can follow instructions in this document.
Visitors to District Campuses and Support Sites during regular hours will need to register for temporary access to the BYOD wireless network. Access is granted only after a visitor request has been confirmed by appropriate staff. Access is temporary. At campuses default access is for 5 days. At Support Sites access can be from 12 hours to 5 days at the discretion of the District employee sponsoring access. Accounts cannot be renewed, the visitor will need to follow the registration process once access has ended.
Visitors to District Campuses and Support Sites after hours can register for access with a valid email address using the Self Registration portal Monday to Friday 4pm to 10pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am to 10pm. Self registered accounts expire daily at 10pm and the portal will show unavailable after 10pm. Returning visitors will need to re-register for access following the self registration process.
