The FBISD Board of Trustees has begun the process to select a new superintendent, as Dr. Charles Dupre announced his intention to resign by December of 2021. Earlier this year, the District placed an RFP for superintendent search firms to consult and support the Board with their search for a highly qualified candidate.
The District will make updates to this page with information about the search process as there is additional information to share.
February 8, 2021 - Board Workshop - The FBISD Board of Trustees selected three potential search firms to work with, including Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, J.G. Consulting, and BWP and Associates.
February 17, 2021 - The Board of Trustees was scheduled to interview the three superintendent search firms at the February 17 called Board Meeting, but the interviews were postponed due to the inclement weather. The Board will reschedule the interviews for the March 3 Special Called Meeting.
March 3, 2021 - Special Called Meeting - The Board chose Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates as the firm to faciltate the search for the next FBISD Superintendent of Schools.
