FORT BEND ISD (June 3, 2020) - Fort Bend ISD committed to capturing the voices of parents, students and staff as we plan for the 2020-21 school year. We invite you to share your experience and opinions with online learning and potential learning models to start the school year, and modified calendar considerations for the 2020-21 school year. Participants may also opt-in for opportunities to participate in future feedback meetings with key district leadership. Your answers will be kept confidential, and your opinions are very important to us.

Notice of Public Meeting on Proposed Budget and Tax Rate
FORT BEND ISD (May 26, 2020) - Fort Bend ISD will hold a Public Hearing for the 2020-21 Proposed Budget at the June 8, 2020 Board meeting.
Due to COVID-19, Fort Bend ISD has held board meetings and hearings via video conference and audio since March 16, 2020. Governor Greg Abbott granted a request by Attorney General Ken Paxton to temporarily suspend a limited number of open meeting laws. Please check the District’s website fortbendisd.com regarding the budget hearing as it may be held via video conference and audio if COVID-19 conditions persist.

Fort Bend ISD will continue online classes through the remainder of the 2019-20 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All facilities and schools remain closed to the public.
During remote operations all school day, after-school, extra-curricular, District-sponsored events and UIL events are canceled. This includes field trips, District-evening programs and gatherings, and athletic events other than varsity.

UIL Amends Suspension of Activities Due to COVID-19
With the announcement that all Texas school are to remain closed to in-person learning for the remainder of this school year, and in an effort to protect the health and safety of Texans, the University Interscholatic League is canceling all remaining 2019-2020 Spring activities and State Championships.
