FORT BEND ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO APPOINT COMMUNITY MEMBER TO FILL BOARD VACANCY

The resignation of a Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustee has created a vacancy for the unexpired term of Position 5, which will expire in May 2026.

Texas law authorizes the Board to appoint a candidate to fill the vacant position for the remainder of the term; a successor trustee who desires to continue to serve beyond May 2026, will be required to run for election in the May 2026 election.

The Board invites qualified members of the community who are interested in being considered for appointment to the vacant position to submit an eletcronic application, which includes statements of interest in serving on the Board, and a resume of relevant experience.

Depending on the level of interest, the Board may schedule interviews with potential candidates.

For questions, please E-Mail Ms. Chassidy Olainu-Alade, Chief Communications Officer, Chassidy.OlainuAlade@fortbendisd.gov.

    The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. C.S.T. on July 7, 2025.
