    2020-21 Listening and Literacy Tours 

    The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees will host its annual Listening and Literacy Tour event for the 2020-21 school year.  The tour allows Board members to hear from parents and community members as they hold their monthly board workshops on campuses.  Each event begins at 5 p.m.

     

    Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, the Board President has decided to postpone the previously scheduled Monday, October 12, 2020 Listening Tour.  Please check back here for the rescheduled date and location.  Once rescheduled, roundtable discussions will begin at 5 p.m. and parents are invited to ask questions of Board members and District leaders.  Attendees are also welcome to stay for the Board’s monthly workshop which will begin at 6 p.m.

     

    This year’s Literacy Tour will be held on Monday, February 9, 2021 at a location to be determined.  Please check back here for the updated location.  Board members will begin the evening by reading to students and taking their questions.  Students will also receive a free book and families can enjoy educational games, as well as refreshments.  If time permits, the Board will also speak with parents and community members afterward.  Again, attendees are welcome to stay for the Board's monthly workshop which will begin at 6 p.m.

    This year’s Listening Tour stop is on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Thurgood Marshall High School (1220 Buffalo Run, Missouri City, TX. 77489).  Roundtable discussions will begin at 5 p.m. and parents are invited to ask questions of Board members and District leaders.  Attendees are also welcome to stay for the Board’s monthly workshop which begins at 6 p.m.

     

    This year’s Literacy Tour stop will be on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Pecan Grove Elementary School (3340 Old South Drive, Richmond, TX. 77406).  Board members will begin the evening by reading to students and taking their questions.  Students will also receive a free book and families can enjoy educational games, as well as refreshments.  If time permits, the Board will also speak with parents and community members afterward.  Again, attendees are welcome to stay for the Board's monthly workshop which will begin at 6 p.m.

    This year’s Listening Tour stop is on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Dulles High School (550 Dulles Avenue, Sugar Land 77478). Roundtable discussions will begin at 5 p.m., and parents are invited to ask questions of Board members and District leaders. Attendees are also welcome to stay for the Board’s monthly workshop, which begins at 6 p.m.

     

    This year’s Literacy Tour stop will be on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Briargate Elementary School (15817 Blue Ridge Road, Missouri City, TX. 77489).  Board members will begin the evening by reading to students and taking their questions.  Students will also receive a free book and families can enjoy educational games, as well as refreshments.  If time permits, the Board will also speak with parents and community members afterward.  Again, attendees are welcome to stay for the Board's monthly workshop which will begin at 6 p.m.

    This year’s Listening Tour stop is on Monday, March 6, 2018 at Travis High School (1111 Harlem Road, Richmond, TX. 77406).  Roundtable discussions will begin at 5 p.m. and parents are invited to ask questions of Board members and District leaders.  Attendees are also welcome to stay for the Board’s monthly workshop which begins at 6 p.m.

     

    This year’s Literacy Tour stop will be on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Barrington Place Elementary School (2100 Squire Dobbins Drive, Sugar Land, TX. 77478).  Board members will begin the evening by reading to students and taking their questions.  Students will also receive a free book and families can enjoy educational games, as well as refreshments.  If time permits, the Board will also speak with parents and community members afterward.  Again, attendees are welcome to stay for the Board's monthly workshop which will begin at 6 p.m.
