FBISD has been preparing for a major student information system upgrade - transitioning from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ (Q) for the 2025-26 school year. This move will provide the District enhanced security, and more robust reporting within our student information system, and will provide parents with an easier to navigate Family Access experience.

This project represents a significant undertaking for the District. Since January 2024, District and campus staff have been hard at work testing the feasibility of this upgrade. This includes meticulous migration planning, data refinement, configuring staff training access, and rebuilding user security access. 

As with any major technology upgrade, there will be obstacles along the way. Your patience and flexibility are appreciated as we all work together to make the move to Skyward Qmlativ a success.
