MedSci Junior Selected to be on Sugar Land's Mayor's Youth Advisory Council

Adam Kermally, junior, has been selected to be a part of the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council for the City of Sugar Land for the 2015-2016 school year. Adam was one of 27 students from eight different high schools to be selected to be part of the council this year.

 

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council exists “to empower youth from various backgrounds to become active members in their community by providing an overview of the complexity and variety of opportunities to have an everlasting effect on the future of their city through local government public service.”

 

In order for a student to qualify for the program s/he must be a high school junior living in the City of Sugar Land [and communities within the Strategic Partnership Agreements]. Students must complete a rigor application process and be selected for an interview. Those successfully completing the application process must commit to attending all session throughout the school year.
