Undertaking and completing the District's Five Year Facilities Needs Assessment is a 2012 Board of Trustees Superintendent Goal. On January 22, 2013, the Board of Trustees approved Jacobs Engineering Group for the preparation of the assessment. The scope of work included eight elements: data gathering, CAD conversion, educational framework, educational adequacy, building condition, capital facility planning, reporting and community engagement.
In April 2014, the Board of Trustees unanimously adopted the FBISD Facilities Master Plan
that will serve as a guide for the District’s current and future planning. The plan includes: background information, recommendations based on the work of a community steering committee and specific next steps for consideration in the District’s facilities planning process.
