Mrs. Ida Ford currently serves as an Executive Director of Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Ford has dedicated 29 years to Fort Bend ISD, serving in a variety of impactful roles. She spent 12 years as a campus principal, where she led several elementary schools with a focus on strong instructional leadership and operational excellence. Her leadership journey spans both academically and culturally diverse communities, reflecting her commitment to equity and excellence in education.
Before becoming a principal, Mrs. Ford served three years as an assistant principal and eight years as an elementary classroom teacher. Her deep understanding of teaching and learning has shaped her approach to school leadership.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Ford has contributed to numerous district committees and advisory boards. Among her many accomplishments, she is most proud of mentoring and coaching new principals—helping to shape the next generation of school leaders.
She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.
