Approved Boundary Changes
Attendance Community updates will take effect in the 2023-2024 school year. This website provides information on the most recent attendance community changes, approved by the FBISD Board of Trustees.
IMPORTANT: Families directly impacted by a boundary change or cap and overflow should have received a FBISD communication sent on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Southeast High Schools
- On February 27, 2023, the Board approved the Final Recommendation presented for some High Schools in the Southeast area of the District:
- To relieve overcrowding at Ridge Point High School (RPHS) and establish a new attendance community for Almeta Crawford High School (ACHS).
- ACHS will open with only 9th and 10th graders in August 2023.
- All rising 11th and 12th graders zoned to ACHS will continue to attend Ridge Point High School (RPHS).

Southeast Elementary Schools
- On February 13, 2023, the Board approved the Final Recommendation presented for some campuses in the Southeast area of the District for:
- Opening of Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School and relieving overcrowding at Leonetti Elementary School.
- Adjusting the Heritage Rose Elementary School attendance community to relieve overutilization by moving areas south of Highway 6 to Schiff Elementary School; moving an area north of Highway 6 to Burton Elementary School; and moving an area north of Highway 6 to Goodman Elementary School.

Northwest Area of the District
- On February 13, 2023, the Board approved the Final Recommendation presented for some campuses in the Northwest area of the District for:
- Relieving overcrowding at Travis High School by moving the Brazos Bend Elementary neighborhood to Austin High School.
- Relieving overcrowding at Bowie Middle School by moving part of the Patterson Elementary School attendance community to Crockett Middle School so all of Patterson Elementary School attends Crockett Middle School. Note: The area experiencing the change from Bowie Middle School to Crockett Middle School will continue to attend Travis High School.
- Adjust Arizona Fleming Elementary School attendance community by moving the students that split to Garcia Middle School and Austin High School to attend Hodges Bend Middle School and Kempner High School.
- Adjust Holley Elementary School attendance community by moving the students that split to Garcia Middle School and Austin High School to Oyster Creek Elementary School and remain at Garcia Middle School and Austin High School.

Sonal Bhuchar Elementary School
- The Board approved the Final Recommendation for Sonal Bhuchar ES in 7-0 vote. Components of recommendation are below:
- The area south of University Blvd. that is currently zoned to Commonwealth Elementary will be zoned to Sullivan Elementary.
- The area northeast of LJ Parkway that is currently zoned to Sullivan Elementary and the portion of Millwood Subdivision south of LJ Parkway will be zoned to Bhuchar Elementary.
- The area south of Elkins High School (part of Creekstone Village) that is currently zoned to Austin Parkway Elementary will be zoned to Bhuchar Elementary with the rest of Creekstone Village.
- Additionally, the portion of Millwood Subdivision located south of LJ Parkway will feed into First Colony Middle School with the rest of Bhuchar Elementary, instead of Fort Settlement Middle School.
