Fort Bend ISD High School Academies exist to provide specialized learning communities with concentrated and robust course pathways comprised of career and academic classes. These specialized academies exist at the high school level to provide focused study and services, launching our students toward careers and college pathways in a number of highly skilled and competitive areas. A middle school GT Academy and a GT Mentorship program are also offered for selected students. All of these programs are offered through an application process, which includes a combination of academic performance data, test scores and interviews.Students apply for high school academies as 8th graders. Students will receive an email with their test or interview dates. Students must reside in the FBISD attendance zone during this application window in order to apply. Students may not apply and will not be accepted outside of this process. In order to properly staff our programs, create schedules, and train staff we must limit the application period for all specialized programs. There are no exceptions to this policy.
