All Class of 2021 graduation ceremonies will be held at FBISD’s Hall Stadium in June. Ticket information will be shared during the spring semester.

Do guests need tickets?
Yes, in order to maximize social distancing, and in accordance with TEA guidelines for outdoor graduation ceremonies, this will be a ticketed event. Tickets will be required for all guests over the age of two (2). Graduating seniors do not require a ticket. You must have a ticket to enter the stadium.

How do I request to receive additional tickets?
Should campuses have excess tickets, they will redistribute to students who request additional tickets. Each campus will do its best to accommodate requests, but tickets are limited. Campuses will share specific details about how and when additional tickets will be distributed should any become available.

Do guests need to purchase parking in advance?
No. It is not necessary to purchase parking at this venue.

How long does the ceremony typically last?
Each ceremony typically lasts approximately one hour.

Is there reserved seating at Hall Stadium?
There is no reserved seating and saving seats is not allowed. All seating is open. Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines allow family groups of five or fewer to sit together, and all families are encouraged to maintain appropriate social distancing at all times, including during their entry and exit to the stadium.

Will there be concessions available?
Bottled water will be available for purchase. Each bottle will cost $2 and only cash is accepted.

Can I bring in bottled water?
Guests can bring bottled water if it is unopened and sealed. No tumblers or other personal drinking cups will be allowed in the stadium.

What items are prohibited at Hall Stadium?
Balloons, air horns/noisemakers, banners/flags and confetti are not allowed. Other prohibited items include, but are not limited to, weapons, outside food or beverage, tripods, monopods or selfie sticks and laptops/electronic tablets. While it is permissible for families to bring flowers, please understand that all reunification will occur outside in the parking lot upon completion of the ceremony. There will be no opportunity to share flowers on the football field.

How will I reunite with my graduate after the ceremony?
Following the ceremony, all graduates will leave the football field and can reunite with their family members in the parking lot. As a reminder, social distancing is encouraged before and after the ceremony, and no students will be allowed to stay and congregate on the football field.
To facilitate reunification, family members should pre-designate where they will meet their student in the parking lot, as there are several entry and exits to the stadium.

Can I take pictures of my child? Can I purchase a photo of my student?
Parents may bring cameras and video cameras, but no tripods are allowed.
Marc Nathan Photographers, Inc. will capture your senior’s 2021 Commencement Ceremony. Every graduate will be photographed after they have received their diploma cover and before returning to their seat. An email will be sent to your senior 7-10 days following the ceremony with a link to order prints. There is no obligation to order.

Will my child’s ceremony be available online?
Each ceremony will be streamed live via www.youtube.com.
Visit www.fortbendisd.com/gradmedia to access the link on the day of your child’s graduation. Ceremonies will also be available to view on Fort Bend ISD’s Youtube channel a couple of days following the ceremony.

When will students receive their diplomas?
At the commencement ceremony, students will receive a diploma cover, but their actual diplomas will arrive later to the school. Each high school campus will send out information to parents and students regarding when the diplomas will be available for pick up at the campus. Typically, this occurs later in June or July.

What other safety measures will be in place for the 2021 graduation ceremonies?
- Limited Number of Tickets per graduate to reduce crowd sizes (Hall Stadium has a capacity of more than 9,000. We will be significantly less than that, as it is a ticketed event.)
- All graduations will be no contact ceremonies.
- Each speaker will have a clean, sanitized microphone. All microphones will be thoroughly sanitized for each ceremony.
- Promoting and practicing Social Distancing - keeping 6-feet apart throughout the event
- Plexiglass shields will be used at our closest points of interaction.
- Those experiencing symptoms or with recent potential exposure must not attend in-person and view online.
- All visitors are required to sit in groups of 5 or less people. This may cause households to divide to stay in accordance with TEA guidelines.
- The entire facility will be thorough sanitized after each ceremony.
- Paper programs will not be distributed during the graduation ceremonies. All programs will be accessible online, and students will receive keepsake programs at a later date.
