Fort Bend ISD (May 7, 2025) - On National Nurses Day, Fort Bend ISD proudly celebrates the dedicated professionals who support the health and well-being of our students and staff every day.

Ridge Point High School’s Nurse Jill Gober was recently named one of Greater Houston’s Top 10 School Nurses by the Houston Chronicle as part of its annual Salute to Nurses awards. Her compassion, professionalism and commitment to student wellness earned her a place among Houston’s finest.

“What a huge honor this is,” Gober said. "The luncheon at the River Oaks Country Club was amazing, and I received so many special gifts. Working with the amazing staff and awesome teenagers at Ridge Point is the best job on the planet; and to be recognized for it is icing on the cake!”

Each year, thousands of nurses are nominated for the award, and only a select few are chosen for this prestigious recognition.

Also, in honor of National Nurses Day, all FBISD school nurses received gift bags from Memorial Hermann Health System in appreciation of their service.
