FBISD’s senior fine arts students earn more than $85 million in scholarships

Fort Bend ISD (May 2, 2025) – Fort Bend ISD’s senior fine arts students have earned over $85 million in scholarships for the 2024-25 school year.

The amount was announced last night during an event honoring seniors who excelled both artistically and academically throughout their high school careers.

“What an incredible accomplishment for our senior students, and a true testament to the return on investment that our fine arts teachers have made in shaping the lives of their students,” FBISD’s Fine Arts Director Jim Drew said.

The top five scholarship earners from each high school were recognized, along with each campus’ Program Scholars—one student from each artistic discipline (art, band, choir, dance, orchestra and theatre) who best exemplifies academic and artistic excellence.

Additionally, eighteen students who plan to major in fine arts after graduation were also honored.

The evening also featured student performances and student-designed costumes and artwork were also on display.
