Fort Bend ISD (February 12, 2025) – The community is invited to visit one of three Fort Bend ISD student-run businesses at a special event on Saturday, February 22 at the state-of-the-art James Reese Career and Technical Center (12300 University Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77479) from 9 a.m. – noon.

Attendees will see first-hand how the district prepares our next generation of skilled professionals through a fully functioning auto shop, salon and grill.

The following activities will be offered during the event:

• The Grill at Reese: French Chicken Dinner Cooking Class – Learn to prepare a delicious French chicken dinner in a hands-on class taught by culinary students. The experience costs $55 and includes all materials. Register for the gourmet Cooking Class.
  
  
• The Salon at Reese: Hair Styling Workshop – Learn styling tips and tricks from cosmetology students. Admission is free. After the clinic, attendees can purchase salon services including shampoo and style and root touch-up. Register for the Hair Styling Workshop.
  
  
• The Shop at Reese: Car clinics featuring the City of Sugar Land – Gain valuable car maintenance tips and learn how to perform basic vehicle services yourself in this interactive session. Admission is free. Register for a Car Clinic.
