FBISD introduces newest members of district’s leadership development program for aspiring assistant principals

ASPIRE logoFort Bend ISD (January 8, 2025) – Fort Bend ISD introduced the newest members of its 2024-25 ASPIRE program, a leadership development initiative designed to empower district educators who hold administrator certifications and aspire to become campus assistant principals. 

Candidates were nominated by their campus principal for demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities. Each nominee submitted an application and portfolio showcasing the meaningful impact of their work on students and staff. 

The top eight candidates were surprised by district administrators on their campus:

 

  • Rebecca Metcalf, Travis High School
  • Tarisa Thompson, Armstrong Elementary
  • Anesta Richards-Machoka, Ridgegate Elementary
  • Jeri Jones, Glover Elementary
  • Ashley Warner, Parks Elementary
  • Callie Ford, Sullivan Elementary
  • Michelle Grant-Aratsu, Fort Settlement Middle School
  • Kristyna Guerrero, Fort Settlement Middle School 

Throughout the spring semester, the ASPIRE cadre will participate in learning sessions, receive individualized coaching and engage in job-embedded learning activities.
