Fort Bend ISD needs your help in building Vision 2030 – a vision that truly represents the highest hopes and desires for learners.
We Want to Hear From You!
Through a public engagement process starting in October 2023, Fort Bend ISD will consult with community stakeholders to ensure Vision 2030 incorporates a variety of perspectives.
Stakeholder input received during this process will help define district goals that guide the development of a strategic roadmap and action plan that is aligned with the community’s vision.

Fort Bend ISD students, parents, staff, and community members were invited to attend an upcoming community education summit to discuss the future of Fort Bend Independent School District. At the summit, we heard your input and ideas about the type of education you desire for your community's children – today and in the future.

As a crucial component of FBISD’s Vision 2030 initiative, the District proactively sought input from parents, staff and community members to better understand and address their highest aspirations for our learners.
From November 8 to November 19, interested individuals watched a student panel video and completed the online survey, contributing their insights and ideas to design, create and implement a strategic plan, spanning six years, which is rooted in a vision to learn. In the student panel video, FBISD students shared their learning experiences and expressed their hopes for the future, among other insightful topics.

What is Vision 2030?
The District is actively engaging current Fort Bend ISD stakeholders to design, create, and implement the community-inspired 6-year Strategic Plan, centered on a Vision for Learning and anchored on the community’s highest hopes for their learners. The District is calling this overall effort “Vision 2030.”

How will the District involve the community in building Vision 2030?
To ensure the inclusion of representative stakeholders of the district and provide district stakeholders with the opportunity to give structured input, stakeholder engagement will consist of summits, focus groups (including one (1) student-focused session), and an online survey to ensure we capture the voices of stakeholders to assess the school district community’s highest hopes for learning.

When will this strategic planning effort occur and who will facilitate the process?
The District is collaborating with a consultant named Engage2Learn (e2L) to launch and facilitate a strategic planning process that will span approximately six months beginning in the fall of 2023 and end in the spring of 2024.

How will Fort Bend ISD develop Vision 2030?
There will be four phases in the strategic design process that will lead to the development of Vision 2030:

Phase 1: Engage – the goal of Phase 1 is to guide stakeholders toward a collaborative understanding of the insights and feedback that will function as the foundation of a locally developed vision for all students. This phase will give district stakeholders the opportunity to give structured input, stakeholder engagement will consist of summits, focus groups (including one (1) student-focused session), and an online survey. The feedback received during Phase 1 will be summarized in a Community Engagement Report that will be shared with the Board of Trustees.

Phase 2: Design – a Fort Bend ISD will form a Design Team composed of a cross-section of 30-40 diverse stakeholders representing the community, including students, parents, staff, community members, teachers, campus administrators, and District staff

Phase 3: Create - the Design Team will work to create specific results aligned with the defined goals, agreed upon by the Design team.

Phase 4: Lead - In the last of four phases, Fort Bend ISD staff will be guided by its outside consultant, Engage2Learn, in developing Year-1 action plans that serve as implementation plans for the specific results identified for year one along with planned updates to the District’s website and to the Board of Trustees.

What is the Board of Trustees role in Vision 2030?
Throughout the strategic planning process, the Board of Trustees will set the Directional System for the District, which ensures alignment to the Mission, Vision, Profile of a Graduate, Core Beliefs, and Commitments guide all decision-making efforts to benefit each child in Fort Bend ISD. The Board of Trustees receive updates from District staff throughout the process, with periodic updates occurring at their public Board meetings.

How will Fort Bend ISD ensure the District achieves the goals outlined in Vision 2030?
Fort Bend ISD staff will develop detailed action plans that will serve as integral components in the plans defined across organizational divisions and departments.
