  • Graduation Reminders for Saturday, May 28th

We wanted to send a few reminders for our Saturday Commencement.  All information regarding Toyota Center can be found at https://www.fortbendisd.com/graduation.  Below are some highlights of expectations:

    • Students need to arrive at the main entrance of the Toyota Center (on Bell Street --- between the Toyota Tundra Parking Garage and Toyota Center) no later than 2:30pm on Saturday, May 28th
    • Students will not be able to take anything with them inside to Toyota Center.  Students will also have to go through metal detectors before entering inside.
    • Please carpool.  We highly recommend students ride with their families to Toyota Center
    • Traffic will be prevalent, so please leave early and plan time to wait for parking.
    • Parking at the Tundra Parking Garage is $15 and is on a first come, first served basis. This parking garage is also open to the public. There are other public parking garages and lots around the Toyota Center.
    • Tickets are not required for the 2022 ceremonies at the Toyota Center.
    • Bottled water will be available for purchase inside the Toyota Center --- no other food or drinks will be available for purchase. No cash is accepted at the Toyota Center.
    • No outside food or drink is allowed at the Toyota Center.
    • Per the Toyota Center, bags must not exceed 5.5 X 8.5 inches for fans entering the arena. There is a strict “no bag policy” for all other bags to help improve the touchless fan environment. Bag lockers will be available on a rental basis for fans that need them. Fort Bend ISD is strongly encouraging guests to not bring any bags into the stadium. Entering with no bags will speed up the security check process at the entrance.
    • For safety reasons, patrons may be refused entry if they are in possession of prohibited items including, but not limited to: alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, food, drinks, glass/plastic/metal containers, video recorders, audio recorders, laptops, fireworks, laser pointers, backpacks, coolers, knives, weapons of any type, baby seats or carriers, unauthorized noise makers, glitter, confetti, streamers, helium balloons, basketballs, beach balls, parcels or packages, inflatables, personal motorized transporters (SkyWalkers), selfie sticks, GoPros, or large bags of any kind. Fort Bend ISD is strongly encouraging guests to not bring any bags into the stadium. Entering with no bags will speed up the security check process at the entrance. While it is permissible for families to bring flowers, please understand that all reunification will occur outside the venue upon completion of the ceremony.
    • Following the ceremony, all graduates will leave the Toyota Center through the Bell St. atrium doors. To facilitate reunification, FBISD will have alpha flags on Bell St. to assist family members with locating their graduates.
    • Professional cameras are prohibited at all events in the Toyota Center. Cameras containing lenses (not to exceed 4 inches in length) with no flashes may be allowed for some events. Video cameras and audio recorders are prohibited in Toyota Center unless specifically approved. Parents may bring cameras and video cameras, but no tripods are allowed. Marc Nathan Photographers, Inc. will capture your graduate's photo at the 2022 Commencement Ceremony. Every graduate will be photographed after they have received their diploma cover and before returning to their seat.  An email will be sent to your graduate 7-10 days following the ceremony with a link to order prints. There is no obligation to order.
    • Video of the ceremony will be livestreamed and remain on the Fort Bend ISD's Youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/c/FortBendISDTX
    • At the commencement ceremony, students will receive a diploma cover, but their actual diplomas will arrive later at the school. Each high school campus will send out information to parents and students regarding when the diplomas will be available for pick up at the campus. Typically, this occurs later in June or July.
    • Toyota Center Accessibility Service Information:
      • Accessible Drop-Off and Pick-Up: An accessible drop-off and pick-up is located on La Branch Street, south of Polk Street, and on Bell Street, between Jackson and La Branch.
      • Accessible Parking: Accessible parking is located on the first and third levels of the Toyota Tundra parking garage adjacent to the arena. Accessible parking in the arena garage is available on an event-by-event basis. Accessible parking is also available on the surrounding independent surface lots, and on Clay St. between Jackson and Chenevert.
      • Elevators: Elevators are accessible on all levels of the arena at the following locations.
