Hello, my name is Christopher Nguyen. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and I am a graduate of Houston Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. My passion for teaching began in high school, where I witnessed firsthand how teachers with a clear vision for their students could positively impact and shape their futures. This inspired me to pursue a career in education, and I’m proud to be where I am today.

I strive to enrich my students with knowledge while keeping lessons engaging and fun. I am excited for the upcoming school year and look forward to working with both students and parents. This will be my seventh year teaching at Elkins, and I continue to love being part of such a vibrant community. I particularly appreciate the diversity of the student body and enjoy their eagerness to succeed. As their teacher, my goal is to challenge them to reach the next level and to prepare them for college and beyond.

In addition to teaching, I have been the PALs sponsor for four years. I also dedicate my time to sponsoring the Save Promise Club and the Science National Honor Society.

In my free time, I enjoy fishing, traveling, cooking, working out, and spending time in nature, particularly hiking.
