I am very excited to be at Elkins High School as the Math Department Leader of the absolute best team of math teachers out there!
After relocating to Texas from Illinois in 1999, I started my teaching career at Clements High School. I have also worked in the Fort Bend ISD Curriculum Department as a Math Helping Teacher, at the University of Houston as a Clinical Associate Professor in the teachHOUSTON program, and in Fort Bend ISD as the Coordinator of the Math and Science Academy at Dulles High School and the Engineering Academy at Elkins High School. I returned to the classroom in August of 2015 and taught at Kempner High School before returning to Elkins as the Math Department Leader in November of 2015.
2024 has been a very big year for our family! My oldest received their Associates Degree from Houston Community College and is now attending Texas State University majoring in Wildlife Biology. My youngest graduated from Travis High School and is now attending Texas A&M University majoring in History.
This is my 26th year in education (whoa! how did that happen??) and I am thrilled to be working with the amazing students here at Elkins!
