Hello Elkins HS Knights Community!
Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Miranda Garcia, originally from the vibrant city of San Antonio. For the past seven years, I've had the privilege of sharing my passion for science in the classroom. My teaching journey has led me to teach various subjects, including AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, Biology, Aquatics, and Environmental Systems. Beyond the classroom, you'll find me exploring the great outdoors whenever I can. I'm an avid hiker, often venturing into state and national parks to soak in the beauty of nature. When I'm not hitting the trails, I devote my time to fostering rescue dogs, ensuring they find their forever homes. Another hobby close to my heart is geocaching, a thrilling adventure that combines exploration and puzzle-solving. Sports hold a special place in my heart as well, and I'm a dedicated fan of all kinds. Whether it's cheering on the Astros or rooting for the Spurs, you can bet I'll be tuned in. I believe in the power of teamwork, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge both in and out of the classroom. I'm thrilled to be part of the Elkins HS Knights family, and I can't wait to embark on this journey together!
