Ms. Bonnie Bonnette
I graduated from the University of Houston in May 1992 and began teaching at Kempner High School in August of 1992. After three years, I transferred to Elkins High School, and I have been here ever since! I received my master's degree in 1999. This year is my 30th year at Elkins and my 33rd year in the classroom.
I teach AP Seminar, and Debate. I am the English department head, one of the two Academic Decathlon coaches, and the head Speech and Debate coach.
I love teaching English and have a great deal of experience in the classroom. I have taught all four grades of high school English and at every level from Academic to AP. My favorite English subject is English III, and I love teaching the Advanced Placement curriculum for English III.
I have a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified in English/Language Arts, Gifted and Talented, Special Education, and ESL.
My email address is bonnie.bonnette@fortbendisd.gov and my classroom phone number is 281-634-9295.
