• HELLO! My name is Lisa Socha (pronounced So-ha), and I'm excited to serve as the librarian at Sienna Crossing!

This is my 3rd year at Sienna Crossing and I love the students, parents, and staff here! I am looking forward to supporting and encouraging students to be life-long learners and readers! Prior to becoming a school librarian, I was a senior public librarian of children's services. I have served in education for over 10 years within Central Texas, and 8 years in the Houston area.

I am originally from Central Texas, the Fort Hood and the Austin areas, where I lived for 20+ years. I completed the Department of Library Science and Technology master's degree program at Sam Houston State University. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with a specialization in Language and Literature, from Texas Tech University.  Wreck'em Tech!

My husband, Matt, and I have a sassy 13-year-old daughter as an 8th grader at St. Laurence Catholic School. We just celebrated our 16th year of marriage this summer and he is my greatest support!

I'm looking forward to a fantastic year with you and your students!

    Respectfully,

    Mrs. Socha, MLS

    SCE Librarian
