Hi my name is Leroy Truitt.  I am a Special Education Teacher and Coach at Lawrence E. Elkins High School.  I was born in Galveston,Tx.
I have 26 years teaching experience. I have 20 years experience teaching in Behavior Support Services (BSS). I am beginning my 13th year at Lawrence E. Elkins High School.
I taught four years at Madison High School, and six years at La Marque High School where I won a State Championship coaching The La Marque Cougars before arriving at Elkins High School.  I served as a Transition Coordinator (2) years, and a Department Chair Special Education (1) year.  I Graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Supervision. I also was a four year Letterman for the Houston Cougars finishing my football career there Ranked #10 in the nation and ranked #1 in the Nation in Offense for two consecutive years.
