My name is Oluwakemi Tanimonu. This is my 5th year of teaching and my 3rd year in FBISD.

What I love most about teaching is my students. I love interacting with them, I love learning from them, I love helping them understand the content of the course and I love it when they see the connection between what they are learning and their lives.

This year, I hope to revive an active learning environment where my students feel safe to take risks, collaborate with each other, participate in hands-on experiences and take ownership of their learning. I will incorporate tools and strategies for helping my students with mathematical problem-solving techniques so that they can become better problem solvers.

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being indoors, and cooking. I am married and have two lovely children.
