Coach Sherman Batiste is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Criminology and his Masters of Science degree in Sociology. While at TAMUK, he was also a member of the football team where he received All-Conference honors in all four years he played. After a brief corporate career, Coach Batiste decided that his love and passion for the game of football had not stopped and he chose to pursue a career in Teaching and Coaching. He enters his 6rd year with the Knights, teaching Personal Finance lit./World Geo. Also, as the Varsity and JV Wide Receiver Coach. Batiste teaches coaches with the support of his loving family, which consist of, longtime girlfriend Lena Hemphill and their 3 kids Adyn, Skylar, and Aaron.
