I have been married for 26 years and have two beautiful daughters.  I taught at Meadows Elementary in the Deaf Education program for one year before moving to Clements High School, where I now teach American Sign Language (ASL).  I graduated with a Master of Deaf Studies from Lamar University.  I am passionate about teaching Deaf culture and ASL.  My goal is to focus on students' strengths and help them improve their receptive and expressive skills in ASL.  The best way for students to learn is through practice.  My classroom is an active learning environment where students work to apply their learning experiences, which helps them communicate effectively with those who have hearing loss in real-life situations.
