I was born, raised, and educated through high school in Tokyo, Japan.  I completed my Bachelors degree in Business in the United States.

I have been teaching Japanese for twelve years in high schools in Houston and Katy ISDs and for the last five years in Fortbend ISD.  I am an advocate for furthering studies of Japanese language and culture.

I am very passionate about teaching Japanese, not only in the class setting, but also in excurricular activities, through summer exchange program, annual competitions and community engagements.  I truly enjoy taking my students to Japan, providing the opportunity to immerse themselves in a different cultural environment and watching them deepen their understanding in the language and culture and grow to be successful leaders and life long learners.

I believe that it is paramount for students to learn in depth about other cultures to succeed in our global society.  Learning about Japanese culture, specifically in the business setting, will allow students to gain a respect for how international companies operate and can equip the students with the multicultural skills they need for when they set off into the professional world.
