Ms. Tara Mackenzie
Rangers,
I feel very fortunate to be part of the Clements family. I am currently teaching United States History in addition to a Special Topics: Genocide class. This is my 11th year of teaching. I spent 6 years teaching world history and German in Fort Bend ISD, then stayed at home with my children for 15 years. I joined the Clements team in April of 2017, and the rest, as they say, is history.
I received my Masters Degree in Education from the University of Tulsa. Prior to that I also completed one year of graduate studies in Germanic Studies at Rice University. My Bachelors Degree was earned in both International Relations and German from the University of Delaware.
I have two children. One is attending Regis University in Denver and studies nursing. The other is a sophomore in high school. During my very rare free time, I enjoy spending time with my children, attending their sports and extra-curricular activites, standup paddle boarding, travelling, reading, walking my dogs, playing piano, and scrapbooking.
I also am the Interact Club Advisor at Clements. Interact is the high school affiliation for Rotary Club International. Service above self!
