Hello, my name is Travis Ross and I am thrilled to be part of the seventh grade team at Ronald Thornton Middle School. More importantly, I am thrilled to be your math teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. It is going to be a great year full of learning and new adventures in math while building up our mathematical skills.

I was born in Houston, TX, but raised in Missouri City, TX. I have three siblings and I am the youngest out of all of them by one minute. I am a Fort Bend ISD product attending schools such as Quail Valley Elementary, Hunters Glen Elementary, Lantern Lane Elementary, Missouri City Middle School, and Thurgood Marshall High School. Once I completed my high school education, I enrolled at Sam Houston State University, graduating with a degree in Banking and Financial Institutions.

I have taught math for the past three years while teaching 7th grade science in the Northwest and Southeast Houston area. This will be my fourth year teaching and it feels great returning back to the district that taught me growing up. I am excited to lead your students on the journey of academic growth and enrichment. 

My hobbies: Coaching, Landscaping, Fishing, Working Out, and Reading.
